Morgans for $13 a piece, a good value?

Would need to buy 50 from a local dealer. No culls but average grade. Is it a good deal?

Depends on why you are buying.

If you are a collector and know what you are doing, it might be ok.

If you are buying silver and looking for a return someday, like SLV said, that's a lot of jack for 3/4 of an ounce.

Personally, I'd run the other way.

Yes i agree if your looking for bullion then i wouldnt purchase them.
However a collector as myself id have to eyeball em before i bought them looking for numerous dates etc and ofcourse condition.

Ive never paid more than 9.50 for VF-EF circulated Morgans. Although I paid 12.00 a piece for 4 1922 AU Peace dollars and a 1899 O Morgan with what I believe to be a cracked die mark on it.

Although, Those prices were when silver was at 10 bucks and under. Now the circulated Morgans and Peace dollars are at 10.50 and 13.50 so Im not buying any as of lately.

A numeristic collector coin is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. It is a "much" smaller market than silver and gold spot prices. As I type this, it is worth 9.1 times face value for 90% silver circulated coin. Is it gradeable? At this stage of the game, I would reccomend buying silver and gold coins for their metal purity and content. I personally believe the "stuff" is going to hit the fan in the near future.
